DAS was incorporated in 1993 to provide pilot services, aircraft maintenance and large format aerial camera maintenance for Aerial Oklahoma, Inc. in Oklahoma City.

In the spring of 2004 DAS purchased a company that manufactured Jaguar XKE restoration parts. In this venue DAS is the largest single-point supplier in the world with Customers in the U.S., U.K. and in Germany.

The President, Dean Ritter has over forty-five years experience in the aviation industry and holds numerous pilot licenses and is a certified airframe and power plant mechanic. During the years Dean has owned, restored, built and maintained dozens of aircraft.

In addition to his aviation background, Dean has owned and restored numerous collector cars from Model A's to Jaguars and has even owned a boat.

Dean says that the one common denominator that was a source of frustration and expense was batteries. Dean says he cannot ever remember a battery failure happening at a convenient time or place.

Because weight is always a concern, an automobile battery was installed in the back of the aircraft to operate the video viewfinder system. This battery was always needing to be replaced. In the summer of 2004 DAS purchased and installed a BatteryMINDer® on a failing battery. Upon returning from a two week vacation the battery was found to be in almost new condition. DAS is still using this same battery in July 2005. Now the aircraft cranking battery and the 56 Chevy all have their own BatteryMINDer®. In addition, Dean's son-in-law's bass boat has a unit on the cranking battery and a 24 volt unit caring for those expensive trolling motor batteries.

Because of the great performance of the BatterMINDer® DAS became a Distributor for VDC Electronics. In July 2005 DAS met with Bill Woods, the grand wizard of VDC Electronics in New York. Dean says "I liked Bill immediately and found him to be intelligent and a man of integrity, if I had felt otherwise I would have terminated our relationship on the spot."
