Like all AV-wire Harnesses, this harness uses at-the-battery temperature sensing, making it far superior to the Piper provided harness. Description: This Charging System is designed for the earlier Piper Meridians (prior to S/N 4697255). . The harness can also be used with our Model 28252 charger/power supply with the appropriate plug. The kit consists of an Aviation Specific BatteryMINDer Model 24041-AA-S2 with yellow safety shield and Spec Pak male plug. The harness is 36 inches long, consisting of two #10 and, two #20 aircraft grade wires. The power charging wires are terminated at the battery connector in crimp-type, 5/16 inch diameter ring terminals, and on the other end into Spec Pak female socket receptacle installed at the same location as the new Piper plug. The #20 sensor wires are terminated into a thermistor encapsulated inside a 5/16 inch diameter ring terminal on one end, and on the other end into the Spec Pak female socket terminal. The wiring harness is routed inside a braided sleeve, and an in-line fuse holder is installed in series with the "positive" wire near the battery connector ring terminals. Peel-and-stick log book entry is included along with complete installation instructions.
